The Conrad B. Duberstein U.S. Bankruptcy Courthouse is an historic structure located in the Civic Center of the Borough of Brooklyn, New York. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a New York City Landmark. The 598,268 sf building houses the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the Office of the U.S. Trustee, the U.S. Attorney and the U.S. Postal Service.
Goshow Architects was awarded the Duberstein energy conservation and renewable energy generation project and provided these sustainable features:
- Multi-parameter Demand Control Ventilation
- Replacement of natural gas/fuel oil 580 ton absorption chiller with an efficient third fuel source chiller
- Installation of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s) for the Cooling Towers
- Installation of a 10kw Stand Alone Photovoltaic Array
- Energy efficient lighting upgrades via re-lamping of existing fixtures and Intelligent lighting
