Goshow Architects worked with SUNY Stony Brook University to design Buildings J and K, the newest additions to the West Apartments complex. Each three-story building features 173 beds in 30 apartments with between four and six single bedrooms per apartment, a kitchen, two bathrooms and a common suite living / dining area.

The existing West Apartments complex consisted of 9 buildings, know as A through I, and built in multiple phases. In 2015, Goshow Architects was selected to design the newest phase of West Apartments, starting with Building J, completed in 2018; and followed by Building K, completed in 2021. The buildings were constructed to replicate the architectural style, layout, and finishes of the existing West Apartment buildings, while simultaneously updating the construction materials to be more durable and energy efficient. Both buildings are designed to meet LEED Silver certification.
